mirror and hallway

having a mirror next to your dining table may double your wealth and fortune.        The mirror located in the front door area should reflect the full figure of any of the home dwellers.

???
If your home is a U or L shape, place an object such as a tree, or boulder in that corner. Now, place a mirror on that object facing each corner of your home, and a mirror reflecting back to that object. This will create an imaginary wall, thus creating the four corners of that room.        ???                                                           If there is a missing piece of the bagua, a mirror can “move” a wall to fill in the gap.

Your goal is to bring vibrant, alive and smoothly flowing energy to the low energy of a narrow hallway. Here are some feng shui tips for you:
  • Colorful art and vibrant images always bring good energy to a stagnant space, so they are often used in the decor of a long hallway. However, a big mistake (from a feng shui point of view) is to arrange the art in a straight line. This will only emphasize the Sha Chi that you want to soften, so do not do that. In using feng shui for a long hallway, art should always be arranged in a creative gallery style on both walls, so as to create a sense of natural
  • Good lighting is good feng shui. Look at ways to "enlighten" your dark narrow hallway with the smart use of lighting. Picture lighting works well, or any other tasteful source of ambient lighting. Do not go for direct ceiling lights, as this will only severe the feng shui energy of a long hallway (unless you use track lighting with halogen lights that can be directed at both walls). You want the light to be on the walls, not on the ceiling. This will make the space open up and feel wider
  •  Crystal. If you don't want to linger there, then ch'i usually doesn't either. And since we want our entire home to be filled with "happy ch'i," you can help out this situation with the use of a crystal.

2. When you have slanted ceilings. When you spend a lot of time living in a space where the ceiling slants down towards you (like when it slants above your bed, or down "on your head" at the office) you may be in a situation where the ch'i is "smashing down" on you and disturbing your personal energies.

Cure Placement: Place the mirror face up with the intention that you are reflecting, or lifting the ceiling back up. Try to place this mirror somewhere between the top of your head (say, on top of a armoir in the bedroom) and the ceiling so the energies are reflected away before they hit you.

Your hallways is one of the most important areas in the house. It is the point of entry into the home and should create a welcoming impact. It is also the connecting area to all other rooms and needs to be planned so that the transition to other rooms is easy and harmonious. If you have a narrow hallways, think about using mirrors and color or pattern to improve the proportions from visual perspective. Make sure there is a good air circulation to enhance chi movement.

In Feng Shui, the entrance to the house has enormous importance as it is here that both people and energy enter the home. Your front door should be bright, well maintained and welcoming. It should not be too large in relation to the hall, otherwise energy escapes, sometime that can be counteracted by hanging wind chimes at the entrance. If your hallway or corridors are small, narrow or dark, hang a mirror on one wall to give a sense of greater width and to boost energy flow. If your hallway runs directly through a back door, energy will rush directly through and out of the house. a mirror placed at the end of the hallway can prevent this from happening. Hallway should be light and airy and furniture and storage kept to a minimum.
